The "work from Goa" Instagram aesthetic doesn't survive the third meeting at 2 AM. The pattern is predictable.

The workation aesthetic — Macbook on a Goa beach, ocean wallpaper — sells beautifully on Instagram. The lived reality of working from a tourist destination doesn't hold up past 3-4 days for most professionals. Bad internet at the worst moments, hostile time-zones for India-US meetings, lower output, higher cost. Most workations become bad vacations with a guilt-tax. The rational version is: take leave properly, fully disconnect, and travel as a vacation. Use co-working in Goa or Bengaluru-the-suburb-of-Whitefield for actual work focus. Treating travel as a productivity environment is a category error — your home setup is almost always better.

The budget breakdown is really helpful. Was planning ₹1L for 2 but looks like we need to revise up.
